Buckeye Online School is a K-12, tuition-free online school in Ohio dedicated to making your child’s education a safe and beneficial experience. Our classes are taught by real, certified teachers and run on a traditional schedule. Online public schools are a great way to keep students on a routine schedule while learning from the comfort of their own homes.
No, we are not considered homeschooling. Buckeye Online is an online public K-12 school that operates under a traditional bell schedule with classes 100% online.
Our students are provided a laptop for their studies, and families can get a reimbursement for their home’s internet access necessary to conduct schooling. These computer systems are instructional property and must be returned when the student leaves Buckeye Online. We arrange for technical support and troubleshooting for these systems, ensuring a smooth process.
Yes, students may enroll mid-year after the application process is completed and approved by the Board.
The attendance policy we follow is according to the Ohio State law. Students are required to log attendance and complete five hours of work every school day on their computer.
Requests for records/transcripts can be sent to the Records Department (dgreen@go2boss.com) or requested by phone. Currently enrolled families have access to report cards 24/7 through Parent Access.
All students are required to participate in state and district testing. We will set up testing locations all across the state so that no family has to drive more than one hour.
